Abstract: |
The assessment identified the site as being situated in the north east corner of the Danish Burh, an area which was known to have had iron smelting. A church was built in the 12th century close to the site but its exact location was not known. The land remained open till the late 19th century when it was built over. The potential for archaeology was high. [Au(abr)] |
