Abstract: |
Desk based assessment and field appraisal were undertaken on the site of a proposed development. The line of King Street lay directly over that of the earlier Roman road. Roadside activity or possible settlement may have taken place, although there was no physical evidence for this. The remainder of sites within the study area represented elements of a post-medieval rural landscape. [Au(abr)] |
