Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation found the remains of a Roman building replaced by a post hole structure. A considerable quantity of Roman pottery ranging in date from the 1st-3rd century AD was recovered from the above floor surface of some features. Three Roman coins and a quantity of metal objects including a lead weight, scraps of lead and iron nails were recovered. Post-medieval and modern rubbish pits cut the later garden layers. [Au(adp)] |
