Abstract: |
A desk-top assessment was undertaken to determine the archaeological implications of the proposed development of a petrol station and restaurant. Romano-British settlement had been identified in the investigation area, and comprised cropmarks and occasional finds indicative of agricultural settlement. The area of proposed development was fieldwalked and a quantity of Late Saxon and medieval finds were recovered, suggesting settlement on, or in the vicinity of the site. [Au(adp)] |
