Abstract: |
The assessment identified areas that may have been under threat during the proposed spa restoration within Bath. Standing buildings of high architectural quality covered much of the site, they were in generally poor condition but were structurally sound. The proposed development would also disturb buried deposits of national, regional and local interest and of considerable, but varying, archaeological potential. Limited excavation work was recommended should development work encroach on these areas. [Au(adp)] |
