Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment was undertaken and the report also incorporated results from geo-technical test pitting within the site. The majority of the site was developed and restricted the amount of potential features that could be observed during a walkover survey of the site. The geo-technical pits concluded that the site had been heavily disturbed by the modern development. In view of this evidence it was concluded that there was low archaeological potential for prehistoric, medieval and post-medieval remains. There was medium potential for Roman, Anglo-Saxon and industrial remains. A watching brief was recommended if development went ahead. [Au(adp)] |
