Abstract: |
In April 2006 the first phase of an archaeological evaluation was undertaken in advance of a proposed development. Eleven trenches were excavated and revealed no archaeological features. However alluvial and/or peat deposits were recorded largely intact sealed by the late post-medieval made ground, indicating that if there were any archaeological remains present on the site then the potential for these to have survived was considered to have been high.
