Abstract:
The desk based asessment was a responce to the proposed clearing out of two 19th century mill ponds. The use of a plug hole sluice and chains to transfer power between the barn and waterwheel was identified as being unusual. The assessment recommended that the conduit be repaired and that a 19th century butterwell on the edge of the main pond be carefully restored. [Au(abr)]
