Abstract: |
Eighty one trenches, fieldwalking and metal detecting were carried out in the second part of this development site. This yielded evidence for two features possibly representing an Iron Age enclosure or farmstead. Like Phase 1, features and significant finds were limited to the chalk rather than the brickearth, suggesting seldom occupation of brickearth sites in Thanet by ancient populations. Fieldwalking and metal detecting located modern material only. [AIP] |
