Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed features, including ditches and post holes and possible palisade trenches, and finds which revealed an early medieval period land use. Although the fills of ditches and possible palisade trenches yielded centre-line scatters of midden material, these scatters were not heavy enough to suggest that the ditches were components of domestic enclosures, so that the site emphasis seemed to be on agriculture rather than settlement.
