Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was carried out in order to provide information on which to base a comprehensive statement of the impact of a landfill development on the archaeology of the site. This was a contribution to a Cultural Heritage Statement undertaken by Oxford Archaeological Associates which in turn formed part of an Environmental Impact Assessment for the site. A range of archaeology was recorded, including Mesolithic or earlier flint working sites, hollow ways, field lynchets, quarries and the remains of a house known as The Mount. [AIP] |
