Abstract: |
After a building recording, a watching brief was carried out during topsoil stripping to the rear of the house and during groundwork for a new swimming pool. The few finds comprised post-medieval ceramic building material and fragments of animal bone, with the latter mostly concentrated near the foot of an old quarry. The only archaeological feature revealed by the groundwork was a capped well, possibly of 18th or 19th century date, but with late brickwork around the top. [Au(abr)] |
