Abstract: |
<summary>An evaluation was carried out on the site of a proposed golf course. Following a study of the Sites and Monuments Record and a number of aerial photographs, a resistivity survey over the supposed site of Warnham Place and a trial-trenching programme in the areas of greatest landscaping were undertaken. The remains of a brick and sandstone cellar were located, probably belonging to the 18th century Warnham Place. Two undated hearths were also found. Flint material recovered included Mesolithic material. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
