Abstract: |
The study showed that there were no known archaeological sites within the proposal site and relatively few from the surrounding area. One entry in the SMR was for the site of a water mill which lay just beyond the proposal site. The mill was of post-medieval date and was disused by 1963 and had probably been demolished by 1965. A bore hole survey indicated that made ground was present across the whole site. It was not known if the area was truncated prior to dumping. [Au(adp)] |
