Abstract: |
Trial excavation took place after a desk-based assessment on the site of the Old Victorian School in Wing. The purpose of the evaluation was to confirm 19th century reports of burials, suggesting that the nearby churchyard was once more extensive, and to determine whether there had been Saxon or medieval occupation on the site. Undated burials, pits and a ditch were exposed by the excavations. [AIP] |
