Abstract: |
Evidence of a medieval building was found during the course of the watching brief at a depth of approximately 40cm below the modern ground surface. Small areas of flint cobbling representing road or yard surfaces were also present, as was one pit. The project demonstrated that when stripping large areas within an historic town an archaeological presence was worthwhile. [Au] |
