Abstract: |
A watching brief was maintained during groundworks undertaken as part of a schedule of works being undertaken on behalf of English Heritage. The watching brief showed that the area had been heavily disturbed in the past by successive internment of burials from the medieval period up to the mid-19th century. Seven brick burial vaults were identified although it was not clear whether all or some of these had been cleared. [Au(adp)] |
