A watching brief was maintained during the excavation of trial holes for ground investigations on the former Pex Factory site. Within the limitations of the investigation it was possible to concluded that there would not be any general impact on the archaeological remains from the development proposlas provided that the depth of groundworks in the present car park area were shallower than 900mm (excluding piles).
