Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out on two test pits excavated to find and repair a broken drain. The test pits identified deposits of prehistoric to late post-medieval date. Flints found in the topsoil were thought to have been created by knapping for the construction of a nearby building. Evidence of the bank and moat were also recorded, with slag material being used to arrest erosion of the bank. [Au(abr)] |
