Abstract:
The majority of the features recorded were back-filled boundary ditches. However, in the north-west area, a pit and a tree hole containing prehistoric pottery and flint were noted. A ploughed-out series of pits and a post hole, probably prehistoric, were found to the north of the trenching area. A short lived area of medieval activity was indicated in the north-eastern corner by a hearth, a pit or well, and two post holes. Pottery from this context implied a 13th century date. [Au(abr)]
