Abstract:
A desk-based assessement, supported by preliminary field survey, of land proposed for reclamation works on a site of a former mine shaft was undertaken. Extant structures within the proposal area included structures associated with the Wheal Harriet Shaft, comprising an engine house, the fragmentary remains of the boiler house and the base of the winder. The dumps associated with the Wheal Harriet shaft seemed to have been heavily disturbed in recent years. [AIP]
