A desk study was undertaken to examine the impact of a windfarm on the Kielder Forest. This land is amongst the most marginal in Northumberland and much of it is now under afforestation. This survey which was followed up with a visual inspection located 11 sites within the area, consisting of sheepfolds, curricks and cairns. [Au(abr)] |
