Abstract: |
The site lay within the area of a Scheduled Ancient Monument (SAM 1083) associated with the collegiate church of Glasney. The development included the construction of a new c.9m squared chamber as well as a 3.4m long sewer outfall, above the ground control kiosk and connecting ducting. The watching brief recorded the foundations of two 19th. Early 20th century walls, as well as 18-20th century build-up, levelling and surfacing. No features or finds of likely pre-19th century date were recorded, though very occasional fragments of animal bone were recorded in the 19th-20th century layers. [Au(abr)] |
