Abstract: |
A trial excavation was undertaken on land adjacent to the Equestrian Centre at Shortwood Lodge where an earlier geophysical survey had recognised a curving boundary ditch, a possible small enclosure and other linear ditches. Two evaluation trenches were sited to intersect these features. The presence of five ditches and a single pit was confirmed and they were shown to be of Middle/Late Iron Age date. [Au] |
