Abstract: |
The evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site, which lay within an area where extensive Roman remains had been recorded. The findings suggested that large-scale ground disturbance, dumping and levelling had taken place following the demolition of a farm at the site, known to have occurred in the 1940s. One deposit of probable Romano-British date was found, and Romano-British pottery was recovered from a later context. [AIP] |
