An archaeological watching brief recovered evidence of features and deposits related to pre-ropery, the first enclosed ropery, Victorian and later ropery developments and glassworks phases. Such evidence included an agricultural soil horizon, stone and brick walls and pillars, demolition deposits, a wood block floor and industrial waste. [Au(adp)] |
