Abstract: |
The site lay on the eastern bank of the River Truro in an area that was at least partially reclaimed during the early-mid 19th century. The application area contained well-preserved remains of landing places and associated buildings that were used throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries. A total of 14 archaeological sites were identified, including a range of buildings, two chimneys and the wharf itself. Map evidence noted further structues which had been demolished. A staged programme of archaeological work was recommended. [Au(abr)] |
