Abstract: |
An archaeological excavation was carried out on the site. A sequence of make up and levelling layers were observed. The first possibly relates to the construction of the medieval St. George Street Bridge, the second sequence relates to the construction of the 14th century friary. In between the deposits was a large pit. Structural remains of post-medieval date were also identified. [Au(abr)] |
