Abstract: |
An evaluation in advance of residential development recovered some prehistoric worked flints in a tree throw, as well as two probable medieval shallow ditches. These were thought to have formed part of the medieval tenement boundaries, however the absence of domestic refuse suggested that the site was agricultural land at least until the 17th or 18th century.
