Abstract: |
Excavation was undertaken in advance of the construction of a new hardstanding. A thick layer excavated along the whole trench was consistent with similar layers previously recorded nearby. The layer, of a mid orange/browny silty sand with occasional small rounded sub-angular flint pebbles contained struck and fire-cracked flint and prehistoric pottery. Some contamination with modern material was identified. [Au(adp)] |
