Abstract:
An evaluation was carried out at a proposed development site, where the presence of peat and alluvial clays had indicated a potential for prehistoric landscapes. An 18th century mast yard and mast house were thought to have lain on the site. During the evaluation a series of channels, possibly constructed for drainage, was observed. Some contained late medieval and post-medieval pottery. Substantial late post-medieval foundations were recorded. [AIP]
