Abstract: |
<summary>An archaeological assessment was carried out in an area designated for a proposed geotechnical site investigation. A site inspection was made, test-pits were examined, and palaeoenvironmental samples were collected. Prehistoric flint and chert artefacts were recovered, some possibly of Mesolithic date. The results of the palaeoenvironmental work indicated that the area around Watch Hill had considerable archaeological potential. {italon}AIP{italoff} {italon}SMR Primary Record Numbers:{italoff} 1297 |
