Abstract: |
<summary>A watching brief was maintained during the refurbishment of a fire-fighting water-main. Although very limited in their extent, the groundworks revealed evidence suggesting considerable modification of the natural topography of the headland, resulting in the truncation of bedrock and the distribution of large amounts of material, and evidence of more than one phase of silting and infill of the dry moat, the base of which had originally been artificially levelled. {italon}AIP{italoff} |
