Abstract: |
The watching brief was undertaken on three boreholes and five engineering test pits. In two of the pits intact stratified archaeological deposits of probable medieval date were encountered. In the remaining test pits archaeology was not reached. Brick walls in two of the pits were thought to have been of later post-medieval date. The borehole suggested the presence of several metres of stratified archaeological deposits at the site. [Au] |
