Abstract: |
A watching brief involved the monitoring of both the topsoil stripping and the excavation of trenches for foundations etc. for a new house. Medieval and post-medieval features were excavated including pits, ditches, a well and walls. The remains of a post-medieval building of two structural phases were revealed, along with boundary walls. Medieval and post-medieval finds were recovered. The evidence indicated a degree of continuity of the boundaries within the site, possibly even from late medieval times. [AIP] |
