Abstract: |
Redevelopment of land to the rear of 162a New Cross road was deemed to require an archaeological watching brief, due to the potential for evidence of prehistoric occupation. The brickearth horizon thought to contain this evidence was seen to be truncated across the site, and there were no significant archaeological features. Ground disturbance associated with 19th century housing had caused the truncation. [Au] |
