Abstract: |
Three trenches totalling 20m in length were excavated to reveal the underling first gravel terrace. Archaeological deposits were limited. A partially demolished cellar associated with the early 20th century buildings and a contemporary pit were encountered, as well as a possible palaeochannel with deposits of alluvial clays.
