Abstract: |
A desktop assessment was undertaken in order to identify and collate documentary and cartographic sources relating to the use of the site prior to, and during its use by, Truro Public Library. No archaeological remains were noted above ground. The proposed design for the library extension indicated that three deep foundation trenches were to be excavated. It was noted that the potential existed for these trenches to reveal remains from the historic core of Truro, which was founded in the 12th century. [AIP] |
