Abstract: |
Evidence for extensive archaeological activity has been found in an area of the High Street and around Staines generally. The site has been occupied by the Angel Inn public house since at least the 15th century, though the present day building was probably constructed around the mid-16th to early 17th century, and has since had a number of refits.
