Abstract:
A brief visit revealed some nebulous parch-marks which were planned and photographed. As they lay in the area once occupied by the medieval deanery (mostly demolished after Civil War damage in 1642) they most probably related to that building. What was seen could not be reconciled with a 1929 record of an apse showing as a parch-mark. [Au(abr)]
