Abstract: |
The archaeological building survey created an initial record of the buildings and structures in their current state. The evaluation of the site indicated that the ground surface had been reduced therefore the remains of the reservoir in the northern half of the area were not present and had been removed. Compacted cobbled surfaces were revealed along the frontage of Foundry Lane and in the southern part of the area, probably representing earlier yard surfaces. Part of a sunken linear feature, probably a ditch, was recorded. [Au(abr)] |
