Abstract: |
17 trenches and 12 test pits were excavated across the development area. Small abraded sherds of Bronze Age pottery were found in the topsoil above natural pond features. Further evidence for prehistoric use of the site was almost entirely confined to stray finds in ploughsoil contexts across the proposed development area. A single Saxon ditch was encountered and interpreted as an agricultural feature. [Au(adp)] |
