Abstract: |
Purposive geoarchaeological investigation and integration of field and laboratory based sample descriptions has refined the existing first order stratigraphic model for the site. No physical evidence for human activity has been recovered from the drill cores, human activity within southern England is well attested to during the period to which the sediments at the Drayton sites are thought to belong [OISs 7, c, 200-240ka B.P.]. It is considered important provision is made to allow monitoring access particularly to the northeastern area of the Drayton Quarry Site. [Au(abr)] |
