Abstract: |
For Phases 7 and 8 at Wey Manor Farm, thirty-four trial trenches were excavated in advance of mineral extraction. The evaluation revealed elements of a field system predominantly of post-medieval date, as well as a number of ditches of uncertain dates. Three areas revealed finds and features indicative of settlement of prehistoric and Saxon date. It was recommended that these three areas were to be subject to further archaeological work in the form of a controlled strip and watching brief. [Au(adp)] |
