Abstract: |
The evaluation was carried out to mitigate the proposed development so it did not impact on the archaeology. Walls were found which were part of Neville castle and a contemporary surface. Two walls were discovered relating to a slightly later hunting lodge on the site. A further wall of 18th century date showing the continued use of the site after the castle was demolished.
