Abstract: |
A second stage of archaeological evaluation by trial trenching was undertaken within the area of a proposed gravel quarry at Cossington, Leicestershire. The trenches were located within archaeological 'blank' areas to confim the suspected absence of archaeology. A thin spread of 19th century debris was recorded within an area in the northern part of the site and modern drainage features were also recorded. No significant archaeological deposits were revealed within the trial trenches. [Au] |
