Abstract: |
After a photographic survey of the Five Oaks public house, monitoring of all ground breaking associated with the redevelopment of the site as a car showroom with forecourt display area and landscaping was undertaken. The watching brief was undertaken as the development area lay immediately to the east of a stretch of Stane Street. Two post-medieval wells were recorded, but no Roman features or finds were discovered. [Au(adp)] |
