Abstract: |
Fieldwalking was carried out by Volunteers from the Teeside Archaeological Society; Sedgefield Local History Society and the Architectural and Archaeological Society of Durham and Northumberland, under the supervision of Durham County Council Archaeology Section Staff. Finds consistent with post-medieval manuring were recovered, though earlier land uses were less clear from find assemblages. Slag deposits were interpreted as being the relict remains of a bridle path in this area. [Au(abr)] |
