Abstract: |
Further archaeological investigations were undertaken following evaluation of an area of land at the intersection of the Gadebridge Road and Gadebridge Lane, proposed for a housing development. Features suggestive of extensive occupation activity, including, structures, ditches, gullies, pits, post holes, hearths and trackways were revealed. Evidence of structured deposition of a complete pottery vessel (probably dating to between 1000 to 800BC) was identified, possibly in direct relationship with the remains of a building. [AIP] |
