Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed river terrace gravel across the site. Medieval cultivation or garden soils were seen across the site. Post-medieval post holes/pits, a soakaway and a possible beam slot indicated the presence of a property fronting Horne Lane; a post-medieval boundary ditch was seen to the east of the property. The concrete and brick foundations of the 19th century house were exposed. A large undated gravel quarry was excavated. [Au(abr)] |
